Why didn't the Japanese build casltes out of rocks like the Europeans? ?
The Japanese built the base of the castles with rocks, but the castle itself out of wood, which would make it vulnerable to fire attacks. Why didn't they build stronger castles with rock like Europeans?
It's the same as asking why didn't the Europeans build castles out of wood? I mean its cheap and convenient.
In truth, their different location and culture and resources allowed different buildings to be built. Certainly there were wood buildings in Europe and stone buildings in Japan.
